As the votes and comments on IdeaStorm continue to grow, Dell is
still listening to the customer feedback on Linux. Today we
announced that customers in Germany,
United Kingdom, France and
now Spain will be able to purchase Ubuntu
Linux 7.10 on the M1330, in addition to the Inspiron 530n.
IdeaStorm members miceagol
, technikal,
and piratehead contributed great ideas on how
Dell could improve its Ubuntu offerings by recommending a clean install on a
lighter system with better specs. Thanks to the entire community for the
insightful conversations that helped these ideas become a reality for Dell
customers.
Update: Ubuntu is now also available in China , Canada and Latin America.
