Easier way to opt out of Dell selling my private information

The IdeaStorm community has told us that it’s been too difficult for Dell Financial Services customers to opt-out of having their information shared with third-party marketers.  The opt-out option is detailed in the Dell Preferred Account Privacy Policy.  But as community member ninefoot3 suggests, an online option for opting out is needed, because the existing phone and mail options can take a lot of time.  Based on this feedback, the Dell Financial Services Website will be adding an online opt-out option next year. This will make it easier for our DFS customers to tell us their preference for marketing information-sharing.  We will keep the community posted as to when the link will go live, as we are currently working through the details.  Thanks for the idea, ninefoot3, and for helping us simplify the opt-out process for DFS customers.

Why do I have to opt out?  Why not make me opt in?
