Today at the Connnecting 2007: World Design Congress in San Francisco, we called on The ReGeneration  to help our teams design the most environmentally-responsible computing technology. We're looking for new ideas and innovations and invite engineers, technologists and designers from around the world to partner with us.

To do this, we're kicking off an International Green Computing Design Competition. You can take a look at the offical rules at this link. Here's how it will work: participants can submit ideas from January through April 2008. We'll announce finalists in May and honor them with a prize of $10,000 each. The winner of a global online vote will receive a $15,000 prize (if the winner is a student, his or her university is eligible for a $15,000 prize). This continues to be an exciting year at Dell, not only because we're launching some new products and taking steps to further simplify IT, but also because we're extending our commitment to partner with businesses and consumers to improve the environment. From energy efficiency, to carbon neutrality to reuse and recycling, the possibilities for collaboration are endless.
